Large-scale Russian Assaults Eliminate Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in blackouts in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered disruption to drinking water, as stated by city officials.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from allies to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and applying restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Officials stated that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A young boy died and three other people were wounded.

The assaults come after periods of aerial attacks in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting fuel infrastructure.

He said energy workers and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
